After six months, we have completed this round of rewrites. It has been a very long and arduous process but we are extremely pleased with the results. The show has gone through some radical changes. Nine songs have been cut; ten songs added and there have been changes to many others. The book has been significantly reworked with much snappier dialogue, the incorporation of much more of Poe's work and additional characterisation.

The new show is lighter and much more fun while preserving the darkness one associates with Poe.

We had a few friends read through it and the unanimous consensus was that we had addressed all of the issues raised by the reading and had a much better show.

It was decided that the next step was to be a directed reading and we are currently putting that together.
