Rookie Producer takes industry advice and "Breaks a Leg"
In a bizarre "Producers"-like move, David Lehrer, producer of Poe, took some advice a bit too literally. As a new producer, Mr. Lehrer, is always looking for advice on how to improve the show. He had heard, "Break a leg," so often that it seemed a surefire path to success. So this January, while skiing in France, Mr. Lehrer, took the advice to extremes, and fractured his femur. This is a very serious break requiring surgery and months of recuperation. Mr. Lehrer was quoted as saying, "Well, I guess now we're guaranteed a hit show!"
